Convention Hotel Information

We are happy to announce that Starbase Indy will have rooms available at the Indianapolis Marriott East and the LaQuinta Inn.

The Indianapolis Marriott East is the convention hotel and has a large amount of meeting space, wonderful guest rooms including suites, a 15 minute drive from downtown, an exercise room, and a pool/whirlpool. The Marriott holds some sentimental value too; a sci-fi convention (including 11 SBI cons) has been held at this hotel since 1990!!

The Marriott has once again stepped up to the plate and offered us a deal we just couldn't turn down.  In return, we need YOUR help.  For the hotel to offer us such a good deal, we need to get them as many room nights as possible.  PLEASE thank the hotel for their generocity by staying at the hotel Friday and Saturday.  Our goal is to keep the convention rate as low as possible.  This will only be possible if we can keep our costs down.  Please help us keep Starbase Indy alive by reserving your room TODAY!!

To keep noise complaints down to a minimum, we would like to keep the party rooms in the same location.  Barfleet already has room 160/164 (Richard Allen Suite).  If you would like to have a room party, you can look for rooms on the main floor between rooms 152 - 138.   REMEMBER, the Marriott is a smoke-free establishment.  Rooms on the main floor will open up to the courtyard and allow you to smoke outside.  To register online see the link below.  For more hotel deails, click here.

Most people want to be in the convention hotel but if money is tight (like it is for most of us), then you have another option.  The LaQuinta Inn is located literally across the parking lot from the Indianapolis Marriott East. They offer both King and two Double bed rooms and a host of other features.  For details on the hotel, click here.  They do not offer an online registration but you can call them at the number listed below to make your reservation.

If you call and reserve a room and they give you a higher price, go ahead and make the room reservation and then contact Kim Huff at 317.513.8651. She will make sure the rate is changed in the computer.
